Google's Ranking Rules Year 2009

All these years the webmasters have been trying to figure out what Google uses in determining which site should be on top in the SERPs. We know the automatic program run by the search engine system, a crawler, crawling web sites, read the content, follow the links connected to the site then returns with the data to where the data will be indexed. Back then, Google used to ranked web sites base on the keyword density. In order to boost up ranking we must know how to play with the keywords optimization. This ranking rules have been changing regularly in order to outsmart savvy webmasters who constantly abused the rules on their way getting good SERPs position.

The game figuring out Google's golden rules may never end. Some webmasters may say this trick doesn't work anymore, while other webmasters may say this trick still work only if you do it my way and many sort of things can be heard. Will the golden rules ever change in 2009? It's unsure, but as long if you are webmaster trying to rank well on the SERPs, you need to join the game.

There are views in Google Webmaster Help, live chats and Matt Cutts was in it. It was a long chat, so I will try to break the discusion into few points.

1. Google wants to show result search with the best information, not just the oldest information, so they will try to find ways to rank newer or doesn't have many links sites.

2. There's always the chance that Google will discount directory links in the future.

3. Paying attention to server logs or analytics data and gets a nice array of keywords that are practical to work on.

4. Linking to other sites that makes sense.

There are a lot of useful info in there, that's why you should check on the full details.
